📣 Callout: Do you have a good idea💡or a story about cycling 🚲 in Haringey?

Know someone with an unusual experience? Or a real talent for cycling? Or who’s found an unusual route?

We’re collecting local stories for our next newsletter and local magazines – all ideas welcome!
What's his name in the French version? Inspector Clouseau?
Today I learned that the Inspector Sands message is repeated in French at St Pancras station.

Which makes sense, but also, wow.

Really good to see this research published by @globalactionplan.bsky.social, Ricardo and @hertscc.bsky.social today. Domestic combustion is a major source of fine particle pollution in the UK, and this new research shows we could save the NHS more than £54m a year if unnecessary burning was stopped.
BREAKING: Our research with Ricardo and @hertscc.bsky.social reveals that air pollution from burning in the home contributes to nearly 2,500 deaths across the UK each year.

Check out the Guardian's coverage of our research: www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Videos claiming that curfews are being introduced under new laws prohibiting being out of your home after either 10pm or 11pm have been shared widely online.

But they are totally false, and no such curfew is being proposed.
A nighttime curfew is not being introduced in the UK – Full Fact
Social media videos, one of which has been viewed 350,000 times, falsely claim that new laws imposing curfews are coming into force soon.

There can be no hiding place for officers who abuse their position of trust within the Met police.

I will continue to support and challenge the Commissioner to rid the Met of all those unfit to serve to deliver a safer and fairer London for all.

We're disappointed to read the government response to the OEP this week. How can it be possible for EU to work towards the lower pollution levels recommended by @who.int, but not the UK?

Affordable housing policy doesn’t just deliver affordable homes, it restrains speculative land value growth.
Lowering targets releases that brake, enriching landowners while worsening London’s affordability crisis.
