The hepatitis B vaccine is amazing.

It was the first viral protein subunit vaccine, the first recombinant vaccine, AND the first vaccine to prevent a type of cancer.

That's right: we've had a cancer vaccine for over 40 years.

Our new three-hour episode of Hard Drugs is all about it:

But cities used to be affordable, and with lighter building regulations, they built fast and densified very quickly.

Why did that end? What brought about 'the Great Downzoning'?

Samuel Hughes evaluates the theories in a great new piece for Works in Progress.

The Great Downzoning - Works in Progress Magazine

Novels' sentences are much shorter than they used to be.

Part of this is about punctuation: we use periods as people used to use semi-colons. And shorter sentences aren't necessarily simpler to read, since jargon can condense complicated ideas.
