In the early days of all working from home in 2020, person A was sharing their screen. Person B was talking absolute bollocks. I sent Person A a Teams message - it popped up as a notification with my name at the bottom of his desktop, "She's talking absolute crap, yet again 🥱".

Ooh look at @thetimes.com sports books of 2025. @lilycanter.bsky.social and I did not know this was happening until I started getting WhatsApp messages as Granny had spotted it. Not bad for a book that was rejected by multiple publishers who weren't interested in women's stories.

The PCUK argument leans heavily on public opinion and says almost nothing about the statistical evidence. That's a spectacular sign of a bad argument.

Too right. And the polarising effect on public option especially when respected public figures- who dare I say it are biased towards screening for their own reasons- join in. This is not how unbiased, evidence led decision making works- or at least should work.

This is what happens when as a single condition health charity you’re overly focused on those who die of your condition and you don’t consider outcomes for those who don’t, or the opportunity costs involved for NHS. PCUK are particularly guilty but they’re not alone.

In low-risk patients with MI and early complete revascularization, stopping aspirin after 1 month and continuing P2Y12 monotherapy was noninferior to dual antiplatelet therapy for ischemic outcomes and led to reduced bleeding at 1 year. Full TARGET-FIRST trial results: nej.md/3UKJxS7

I'm very frustrated by the rise in TRT. Of course testosterone "works". But, generally, in the way any other recreational drug "works". Most people don't have a genuine need, they just want an excuse to take anabolic steroids.

The latest generation of tech is overwhelmingly so awful that I am holding onto my older kit longer than ever. Anything with “AI” at its heart is awful, from Apple Intelligence to CoPilot to the rubbish that’s put in cars.

The concept of enshittification is alive and well in oversold AI rubbish.
stupid young people, stop buying a new phone every year if you don't want to be broke. wait no, not like that.
