50c Christian album from mid 70’s. No listing on who sampled who for this deep hard country soul. youtu.be/Ill7QzLrz3U?...
The inner sleeve of an album with a drawing of a long haired man singing into a microphone. A record label for Sammy Hall, something funny happened on the way to hell.

I would grade mine as an A*

*A for acceptable.

I picked this up years ago cheap and thought at the time better to have a bootleg as was not a common lp to see. Ended up this short “unofficial” run was by Coxsone using the original Jamaican 1973 mix stampers.

It’s a version of a Spanish or Italian duet, it’s on the tip of me brain pan.

The first disc is a Tar for sure. That first track on the second disc is something of a standard and the title will come to me.

Here are a pair of discs recorded in Paris with Arabic handwriting on the labels. The first has two solo instrumentals and the second has two duets with piano. Listen here:

Stranglers “Hallow to our men” on “Gospel according to the Men in Black” comes to mind immediately but then on the same Lp has “Turn the Centuries Turn” a real psychedelic dirge that’s a highlight on the lp for me. So what I’m saying is don’t listen to me.

I think Robin Gibb was 16 or 17 when he wrote this. I’m sure he must have been pretty chuffed to hear this version.
