I can't say that I love Jesus
That would be a hollow claim
He did make some observations
And I'm quoting them today...

If we're naming airports, what about O'Leary Intl Airport? Can't think of anyone that's done more for air travel in IRL in the past 30 yrs.

It'd be based outside Mullingar, but with the right infrastructure it'd probably cost less than the proposed Metro in Dublin.

A Fianna Fáil TD is to introduce a Bill to rename Dublin Airport the “Seán Lemass Dublin International Airport”.

Malcolm Byrne remarked that other major airports across the world are named after political figures, such as JFK in New York and Charles de Gaulle in Paris.

Day 2. Woken by my cellmate "Big" Jean, loudly remonstrating with the guards. The breakfast pinot noir was served at 10°C, he complained, which is "uncivilised". He has a point. I immediately set about smoking and bemoaning my derivative art. I hate this place, my paintings, cold wine, Big Jean."

This was a great album when it was released back in the good old days of American Idol.

The first 2 tracks should never have been included on it though, and I'm still of that opinion...wow, 15 yrs later.
It starts on track 3.

This was an anthem in our house when we finally came out of 3rd lockdown circa 2021.

But when you're born to run
It's so hard to just slow down
So don't be surprised to see me
Back in the bright part of town

I'll be back in the high life again
All the doors I closed one time
Will open up again

It's just occurred to me that no matter how many people she helped get sent down, none ever came after her seeking revenge after being released.

Guess a life sentence was 30+ yrs.
Or they all died in prison.

Great quote from Disney animators re the shortcomings of their version of Alice in Wonderland.

“Peculiar actions and visual gimmicks can hold an audience only for a limited time,” the animators go on to say, “and there is always a problem with the continuity once that crucial point has been passed”

Michael D left the Aras today after 14 years & 2 terms as President of Ireland.

As an Irishman abroad for those two terms, I was proud to have him represent me, & wish him well.

His lifelong advocacy for human rights & social justice, especially in his last term, was a beacon.

Ah, just finished this on DVD.

it's been a while since I've watched it, but my daughter's reactions as the suspense built on their first watch was great to see!

REAR WINDOW was released 71 years ago today. One of the most enduring Alfred Hitchcock thrillers, and among the most popular films of James Stewart and Grace Kelly, the story of how it was made might give you the feeling you’re being watched…

Anyone got any good recommendations? 📖
