(In English, below) Imagen de la galaxia starburst M 82 (Osa Mayor) con la supernova SN 2014J. La supernova, de tipo Ia, aparece señalada con dos líneas. Los datos para hacer esta imagen se consiguieron con la cámara ACAM del Telescopio William Herschel (WHT) (Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos, isla de La Palma, España). Se usaron los filtros u (coloreado en azul oscuro, dos tomas de 300 segundos), g (en cían, 3 tomas de 100 segundos), i (en verde, tres tomas de 100 segundos) y r (en rojo, 3 tomas de 100 segundos). Los datos se consiguieron el 24 de enero hacia las 04:40 UT, excepto los datos en filtros r y u (25 de enero hacia las 06:00 UT). Además, se ha incluido una toma extra en el filtro Hα, también codificado en rojo, conseguida combinando 4 imágenes de 300 segundos. Los datos en Hα se obtuvieron el 26 de enero a las 06:30, terminando ya durante el crepúsculo. Todos los datos se redujeron usando rutinas de IRAF. La composición en color se consiguió con Photoshop. went masculine 1830s fashion for this one. I didn't even have to exaggerate the coat: the fashion plates of the 1830s is filled with men with itty bitty waists and voluminous coat-skirts.
