Time to shout out that in Pop Team Epic where they had that special with like 6-7 near identical episodes but slightly different, they used a different translator for every episode so they would all be slightly the different, but also the same.

We don’t use AI for subtitles. Every line is carefully timed and translated by real people (who cry during finales and debate Best Girls, just like you).

I was with Futekiya from day one but had the same experience. Once they started making it hard to find subscription titles and then them no longer being added, couldn't justify it.
Makes me sad how many more titles are going to disappear to a platform's death

It's difficult to overstate the influence Recettear's surprise hit of a digital English release was in terms of getting the Japanese games industry to turn their heads towards PC as a viable release platform.

We all owe a lot to Andrew and his work and I'm so sad to hear this.

Absolutely devastated by this news. SpaceDrake was no doubt a huge influence in drumming up interest for Japanese indie games localized into English and pushing for them on digital distribution storefronts like steam. Huge loss. Might be time for another playthrough of Recettear in his honour.

I finally figured out my vibe when people comment on a fic “I don’t like x in fics—“

I’m the scene from Rocky Horror when Janet says “I don’t like a man with too many muscles” and Franknfurter yells “I didn’t make him for YOU!”

So basically, good thing I didn’t write this for you. It was for me.

I had known that I normally swayed to characters with traumatic pasts, but it only really hits me how much I feel for the characters who have suffered unthinkable things, normally for a prolonged period of time and overcome them.
On that note, look who has been my profile pic on steam for 17 years

I have my therapist, I've been sorting things out, becoming better, carry or and try not to shirk abilities, avoid bad habits like drinking. My breaking point is at 80% so now I've found myself unable to cope, I am on critical health and no one knows because they expect the breaking point to be 50

I have learnt an important lesson today.
There is a downside with the journey to become mentally better as reslientant. Where someone might hit 50% and go seek help from a doctor. They will hit breaking point and be OK
