yes we need to protect kids online but banning tits et al from social media-a place children Should Not Have Account On Because They Shouldn't Interact With Strangers Online- is infuriating and as an adult i want to see boobs'n'such.

not a perfect system but would not remove content being unfairly attacked, and would censor maliciously unfiltered works.
porn sites should just need your standard Are you 18+ Y/N or Insert Your BDay Here with no further checks because. kids have always looked at porn-

13-18yrolds Can use sites for adult but it can then automatically filter user flagged content from the users. let them celebrate turning 18 by suddenly getting to see cock on their feed.
i think it would be best for sites for adults to auto label any post as X thats been reported Y-times as X

if a site doesn't want to pay for active mods-site users who have both reports and trawl the site for content like a user Not underpaid people only looking at reports- it should be considered a site for adults
this does not mean it is an adult site. it just has users flag their own content

Pay people to monitor public posts and interactions to take down inappropriate content for 13-18year olds. Sites for teens like gaia have mods and while thats not a perfect system it can cut down on the worst of the youth being exposed to adult content without seeking it

my dumb ass assumed this was a rule for all sites because it seems the best way to actually protect kids online.
kid friendly sites without user interaction (also no ads)
all sites and apps should require users to be 13 to interact with others-without asking for any id or verification past a bday

ya know. neopets-a kids site- had elements that you couldn't access if your account said you were under 13. those elements were all where you could interact with others like forums and guilds. you wouldn't miss out on the kid friendly stuff, and you were protected from talking with strangers.

This needs more attention: Zohran SPLIT the straights with Cuomo. ALL of his margin was from LGBTQ+ voters. Every Dem who ever said “we should abandon the transes” needs this shoved down their fucking throat with a ramrod.
