He was the lead investigator in the Minnesota fraud scandals. Which amplifies the point that none of this is about the fraud or immigration. It is all a pretext for Trump's authoritarian ambitions.
Breaking News: Three Minnesota federal prosecutors resigned over the Justice Department’s push to investigate the wife of Renee Good, the woman killed by an ICE agent. The Justice Department sought to examine her supposed ties to activist groups.

Apparently the 4th Amendment only applies to Republicans now.
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

We're just warming up. The mission is simple this year: keep eroding Trump's pillars of support in public approval, business, and media so that the midterms are such a blow out that the people get stronger and this fascist regime crumbles.

Just respond with the "First Amendment". It is our constitutional first amendment right to observe law enforcement in public places.
I've noticed that ICE agents keep yelling "18 USC § 111" at people filming them. I'd like to see the memo they all got on that talking point, and I'd like to know who sent it. Filming ICE or alerting your neighbors to their presence doesn't violate § 111.

In 20 years I think people will realize that Elon didn't advance US electric vehicles, but was one of its greatest impediments in the US. His crony capitalism, creation of a meme stock, and turning Tesla into an 'AI Company' have done far more harm than good.

So basically, ICE can murder a US Citizen and the Federal Government will cover up for them which just empowers them to act with more impunity.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota investigators say they can't access evidence after fatal ICE shooting and FBI won't work jointly on probe.

It is the exact same as DOGE. No one was in charge and there was no plan which meant DOGE was a catastrophic failure.

It is very on brand for a GOP president to start a blood war for oil or to mess with Latin American countries for no good reason.

100% this! "[S]trategists are obsessed with marginal vote gains for ideological moderation because much larger forces have decreased Democratic performance in red states... few activists are thinking about how to detach congressional from presidential voting at the individual, psychological level."

I could actually see this in the Times.
Republicans have tanked the economy and turned the country into a corrupt autocracy. But my NPR-loving neighbor has been giving me a hard time about my gas-powered leaf blower. I've never felt more politically homeless.

I remember when Cornell West wrote this and got so much heat criticizing Obama. But seeing the grotesque emails of neoliberals like Larry Summers and our corrupt elite in the Epstein files, you see how correct Cornell West was and how DNC neoliberalism helped pave the way for Trump.

I don't think the DNC establishment is ready for the blowback they are going to face from the Epstein files. They are so focused on Trump, but there are going to be a lot of questions at those who tried to burn Bernie like Larry Summers & other neoliberals.

@dansinker.com's piece is still the best thing I read this year. As he predicted, the immorality of the movement itself will be it's undoing.

The fight isn't over, but what felt impossible in January, feels possible now. Atlantic/WSJ are joining the chorus. www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

If Trump is okay with releasing the Epstein files, start demanding a special counsel now! Get ahead of any shenanigans they're trying to do and force them to appoint one or look shady. Bondi can't be trusted on this.

With Trump's pivot to "release the files" I think the Democrats and any sensible Republicans should demand an independent special counsel not tied to DOJ to manage their release.

Just get ahead of it and say we need someone everybody can trust to release all the files.

@durbin.senate.gov since your VM is always full and I can't contact you, I'm going to lay it out here.

When I call @duckworth.senate.gov's office they pick up, you don't. She fights, she listens. You hide from your voters.

We're tired of DNC senators more afraid of the GOP base than their own.

Excellent take by @joshtpm.bsky.social. If they fund USDA and Military then the GOP can't take SNAP away when another shutdown looms in January. Am I angry they caved for things Trump was legally obliged to do, yes! But they can have another shutdown just about healthcare in January.
November 10, 2025 at 4:23 PM
So SNAP can be funded all year and another shutdown in Feb?

"That proposal would fund military construction, veterans’ affairs, the Department of Agriculture and the legislative branch though Sept. 30 of 2026.

It includes a stopgap measure to fund the rest of government through Jan. 30."
