Crunchy timelines burn people out. Low page rates and advances burn people out. Give a cartoonist a living salary and the time to work, and you are investing in a long-term CAREER. Books get passed around. Audiences grow over TIME. Books don't have to be first-day bestsellers to be successful.

There's a lot of dialogue that also really needed adjusting and if i actually had an editor paying attention to it, it would've been corrected

Just thinking about that time a known cartoonist showed their whole entire ass bitching about how there were too many middle grades nominated for an award one year, when if you actually looked at the list it was less than 50%.

A lot of the show was dtf, and i just don't see the longevity of that industry. Like its just a means of mass producing and you have to have polyester garments and the ink fades so quick and like i just don't think anything will replace screen printing

I went to a printing trade show today and honestly the only booth i enjoyed was riso's lol. I intended to look at the new dual engine cmyk they have for work but then spent like 20 minutes talking to a rep about the duplicator. He said he enjoys going to art shows more than the tradeshows too

I haven't been able to talk to my boyfriend for a few days because of opposite work schedules and i can feel my hater energy returning to me. Hes truly what keeps me positive and full of love

I wanna be a big hater. I hate when cartoonists use an ink well and/or dip pen as branding. Most of them don't even draw with them too. And it like tells me nothing about the type of cartooning work you do
