My point is that there was a THRIVING community that was just as passionate about these upcoming and new releases as now or during the Bay era.

There were landmark moments with mainline toys of high quality and fantastic design that are more impressive than the highest end releases now.

The hype was SO REAL. It seemed like a miracle toy then and even today it's gorgeous and represents something of a golden age in Transformers.

Decades later with adult money we paid A LOT more than $50 to own the Energon version that we passed on back then!

In 2003 we were young and poor, I was working at EB Games and scraped together the $$$ to get my husband-then-fiance this absurdly priced $50 Armada toy for his birthday.
