YES! And if you do social media right, you can be a huge help as support infrastructure for the work on the ground outside!
Also, social media is helping people connect to do the crucial work of feeding people and organizing supply chains to secure the protest work and the boycotts for longer periods. That is an absolute benefit for people on the ground and it maximized participation, esp for those new to activism. 9/

We Do This Til We Free Us is a great book about abolition! The question of "how do we replace the police/prison system if we abolish it" is a real question and many abolishists are working on those answers for us. I know many of these topics feel abstract but we can make them tangible.

Take some time to see what DOES get bipartisan support. The duopoly struggles greatly to find middle ground unless its funding police, military, Isreal, or backing the corporations as they are lobbied to do.
