I'm going to buy one, and then write posts that begin with prefatory stuff about how I love my Optimus and then are like "it is odd that all it does is piss and there's no way to make it not piss. It doesn't seem like robots would have to piss, and Tesla has not been very helpful wrt the pissing."
Tesla will probably sell its Optimus robots to the public by the end of next year, according to Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk, who’s said the carmaker’s fortunes will be increasingly dependent on humanoid machines.

I hope you're well. I will not be in class this morning due to an unexpected illness-- please let me know if there is anything I will be missing so that I can prepare for the next class."

I mean I get Brutus-- the kai su teknon etc. But Cassius? Come on. In all 1500 years of 'history' in between, Dante couldn't find a more satisfying axe to grind there? Cassius feels like a "eh I'll think of somebody better". What about Delilah?

Always felt like Brutus AND Cassius at the same time was pretty lazy. Couldn't find a shifty character from a different series, Dante?

Generally, it's a major red flag when an employer looking for an applicant with 10 years' experience asks for a GPA and class standing.

Well you drop him for a really good reason... like you were rushing to get an elevator and Chase didn't hit the open button quickly enough and so you had to wait for the next one or something really drastic like he failed to say thank you after you held the door open for him that one time.

Or is it that you're voting for the local MSP and then they're only elected if that party wins a seat based on that proportional vote?
November 4, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Are those extra MSPs a slate provided by the party or are there individuals whom you know you're voting for? So like if the proportional vote elects two MSPs from the SNP, does it go down a list? It's candidate 1 and 2? So you're casting a vote to elect one local and one proportional member?
November 4, 2025 at 12:29 AM
Yes. That's right. A candidate who receives 500,000 votes on the GOP line plus 100,000 on the Conservative line is elected over one who wins 550,000 on the Democratic line and 25,000 on the Working Families line.
November 4, 2025 at 12:14 AM
There's no proportional representation based on the number of votes. All ballot access and listing. There's probably a public funding component but I am not sure. Also there's the party identity of the office holder. Believe a Buckley won a US Senate seat on the Conservative line in the past.
