I seem to remember a Mr Nigel Farage telling everyone that leaving the EU would make their lives better. I believe it is the same Mr Farage who now says everything is shit now we have left the EU, but leaving the ECHR will make their lives better. And apparently some
people still believe him
I actually used to have a Finnemore v Sinha playlist on my phone
The right believes in greed and selfish

The left believes in sharing and fairness

I just joined the Greens.
A long time member of the LP, I gave up in despair over migration policy, when Labour started behaving like Reform-lite.

I’m a LibDem voter who has never been a member of any party. Until today. Because for the first time ever, I feel genuine hope in British politics thanks to the leadership of @zackpolanski.bsky.social. Please never change 💚
He has completely lost the left and the right will never vote for him anyway
Surely that is because 24/7 we have had Farage telling everyone that Immigration is the problem (not poverty, the wealth gap or austerity) and no one has ever questioned it or put a counter argument

Why can I remember no Labour politician making this point, this well?

Everybody except the Greens seems to think the best way to fight Reform is to agree with Farage about everything.

This, right here, is brilliant. And genuinely patriotic. And so, so true.

Finally a UK political party leader who emphatically recognises that gender is a spectrum, that transphobia is punching down on some of the most marginalised, and that mocking the vunerable is the last resort of bullies and ill informed bigots!

In 2019 I married a man. I won the British quiz championships. I was diagnosed with a degenerative illness. I relentlessly made the news in New Zealand. I fell apart on Taskmaster.

This memoir is the story of how a shy gay Bengali teenager primed for a medical career, changed direction.
I have supported Labour all my life (well as long as I can remember), and if you told me 18months ago that I would be seriously considering voting for any other party I would never have believed you. But there is nothing about this Labour Party I could possibly support or vote for.
But this issue is that we expected Johnson to be really bad, people had hopes that Starmer was actually going to do something to improve things.
If the best he is hoping for is to be slightly less shit than Johnson, then that is nowhere near good enough for all those who voted for his party

Peak rail fares scrapped on ScotRail trains.

Scotland also has:
Public ownership of water, lower water bills than England's.
No university tuition fees for local students.
No prescription charges, abolished in 2011.
No two child benefit cap from March 2026.

England must follow.
Peak time rail fares scrapped on ScotRail trains
Some routes will see fares fall by as much as 50% at busy times, but on others prices will be unchanged.

South Western Railway marks renationalisation of passenger services. Welcome.

Some were already run by the state.

Rolling stock remains privatised. Govt will rent carriages, pay billions, mostly to companies holed up in tax havens. Freight also remains privatised.

Must renationalise the lot.
