Pat Ryan opposes universal healthcare, public option, free childcare, congestion pricing and most programs that benefit the working class.

He doesn't want taxpayers to get the same work/life benefits that civilian DoD employees & their families get b/c he thinks it will hurt recruitment.

Kingston NY forbids bikes on sidewalks when there are no shoulders or bike lanes on streets but the storm grates are wider than bike tires. The sidewalk isn’t passable (or ADA compliant anyway). Bike lanes end tantalizingly close to rail trails. Fealty to cars & contempt for everyone else.

The No Kings protest is pointless. US willingly elected a king & the political system is designed for minority rule.
It’s better to make a coherent demand (end mass firings, subsidize healthcare) & paralyze the economy until concessions are made.

A very large portion of US farmers who claim to be patriots grow animal feed for Chinese pigs instead of feeding their own people while destroying farmland for future generations. They’re a liability, not a benefit.

They pollute their land and the waters downstream from the Mississippi river to grow animals feed for Chinese pigs.

A true "America first" farmer would grow food to feed the people in their own country.

Our NY elementary school makes an effort, but its still birthday party food masquerading as nutrition. Mozzarella sticks w/ marinara sauce; bagel pizza; nacho bar; chicken nuggets...all w/ "whole wheat" fig leaves & the occasional NY state kale & apples.
I saw back olive salad in Paris' 11th.

A decent portion of those people probably support paid family leave, school meals, subsidized child/elder care and vote for candidates who are resolutely opposed to them.
Objectively, Americans are imbeciles.

They want to help others but not themselves or their neighbors.

By and large, Americans are self absorbed bigots who have contempt for their neighbors and their kids. It explains why the US is allergic to mandating basic programs & services such as healthcare, paid family leave or childcare, to its own people.

The last thing Americans want is to help others.
