The party exists to fundraise off sustained mediocrity. Nothing else.
And the press, which has a vacuum of integrity, dignity or solidarity just begs for more.

In any other civilized society the press would stand up for their fellow journalists instead of groveling for "access" to sell advertising.

Taxpayers deserve the same work/life benefits that civilian dept of defense employees & their families get.
Anything short of that is extortion and theft.
Can confirm. My wife served as a medic in the air force and for the both of us plus our 7-year-old we pay $76 a month for our Tricare health insurance.
November 11, 2025 at 4:52 PM
If the US had fast electric trains that don’t require air traffic controllers, Americans might have gotten affordable healthcare as a concession.
November 11, 2025 at 2:09 AM
Long past time for progressives to use leverage and leave the party unless they reflect the will of voters who want progressive policies (healthcare, child/elder care, U pre-k…) that civilian DoD employees & their families get and objectively aren’t radical.
In a functional party system, this kind of capitulation in the face of authoritarianism could mean the end of the Democratic Party.

In our system, it could mean the end of the two party system. Neither party can represent the pro-democracy majority. It's time for something new.

Mamdani should have gone to the lengths of normalizing childcare, modern public transportation & basic work/life benefits that Dems did for normalizing Liz Cheney.

Free childcare isn't radical. Neither are the basic work/life benefits that civilian DoD employees get.

Opposition to it is.

Democrat leadership that refuses to raise taxes on the 350,000 millionaires & billionaires in NYC & across the state and who also oppose a public option are a huge part of the problem.

I will never understand why democrats oppose a public option in favor of private for-profit insurance being the only marketplace option.

Unless it’s because insurance companies donate heavily to candidates who oppose public options.

Maybe it’s all about fundraising & greed instead of healthcare
I will never understand the Republican fetish for cutting health care and hurting their constituents.
November 7, 2025 at 4:08 AM
The inherent problem is that free childcare and other basic work/life benefits aren't radical.

The radical part is that civilian Dept of Defense employees get 100% taxpayer funded work/life benefits that private sector taxpayers don't, and the Democratic party doesn't care.
Important lesson

Post 2024 polls show Harris campaigning with Cheney decreased enthusiasm by 7%

Post 2025 polls show Mamdani running as unapologetic progressive earned him 9% of MAGA 2024 voters

Corporate Dems: You dont flip votes by compromising your values—but by unapologetically embracing them
November 7, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Dems' tragic legacy of disastrous US healthcare will be that they gave up on a public option in exchange for private for-profit insurers being the only marketplace option. All because of fundraising and endemic greed.

For-profit insurers donate heavily to candidates who oppose public options.
Insurance companies aren’t just players in the fight with doctors over money; they’re also the referees.

They produce their own guidelines on when to pay claims. If a doctor appeals a denial, insurers make all the initial decisions.

Yes, but billionaires shouldn’t be coddled with a “fair share” unless it is over 50%.
"This is a moment that demands a response. If Dems can’t run on a unified platform that centralizes and prioritizes taxing the ultrawealthy in order to dismantle their stranglehold on our govt, then they need to get out of the way for people who will."

Private for-profit health insurance is extortion.
Subsidies for private for-profit insurance funnel taxpayer $ straight to shareholders & exec's who then donate heavily to political candidates.
Know what would prevent insurance premiums from spiking 100%, 500%, 2000%—like we're seeing right now?

Abolish HELL Corps (Health Exploitation Limited Liability) Corps.

Private for profit insurance is a scam. We need our taxes to pay for universal healthcare. It's more affordable & a human right.

Dems will have sacrificed the entire nation and environment to preserve the brittle egos of octogenarian like Biden, Feinstein & RBG.
October 15, 2025 at 7:07 PM
A large part of the catastrophic failures of the Democratic Party is that they make overtures to help poor people who generally don’t vote and mostly vote conservative if/when they do while ignoring the working class.

It’s a party that is doomed & determined to snuff itself out.

All this to mollify Joe Biden’s fragile ego.

But fear not Dems, Joe Biden is eligible to run again in 2028.

Amtrak is so cool because unless you’re trying to get between Seattle and Portland or DC and Boston, it is not only longer than driving, it is somehow more expensive than flying.
