Love how you added Andromeda galaxy!
Did you see the article, maybe a week ago, describing how Canada could build our own, sovereign data centre(s) so we're not shackled to US? Something like $1billion, I think.

Surprising bonus: Other countries would send their data here for safety and security from US.
Awesome, Spencer! For all the great work you do, teaching and thinking hard about teaching and supporting other educators, you totally deserve it!
This quote from psychologist Jerome Bruner Kool-Aid Man'd into my timeline today (h/t/ @alfiekohn.bsky.social)

"Knowing is a process, not a product."

I think I'll
1) recite it in every conversation I have about GenAI
2) get it tattooed on my arm 😂
Around Winnipeg and southern Manitoba, it's Portage, like Portage Avenue or Portage la Prairie. Tourists get anxious that it's French and roll out their high school French "pour-TAHJ".

Nope. Totally anglophized: "POUR-didge"
What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?
Interesting results! Who'da thunk scientists need to know how to write? Great work, @briles34.bsky.social 👏
Two physics Nobel laureates from UC Santa Barbara? Do you know them, Roger? Probably some interesting chats in the UCSB Physics coffee room back in the 80's!
#BlueJays shoulda given Yesavage the home run jacket when he came out!
I’m guessing Gausman will be rested for Game 5, if nec. With Yesavage Game 2 and Bieber Game 3, who do you see for Game 4?
How much did we know about the density of the atmosphere in 1957? Do you think it was a surprise how much drag Sputnik experienced? There must have been lots of scientific and sounding rockets launched by then?
+1 upvote to you posting your scorecard after the game !
Check with @derekbruff.bsky.social Derek’s been sketching for ages!
I watched that Oak Island show on TV for like 5 seasons. When we lost that channel, I lost interest.
The economy is either dead or not dead, and we won’t know until we open the treasure chest at the bottom of the Oak Island Money Pit
Have you watched the Alien: Earth series (Disney+) The Eye is super creepy! Makes the xenomorph seem like a cute little puppy.

Whoa *shivers*

The zenomorph is the least of your worries. 👁️
It's always been "jersey" for me. When I hear "sweater", I think of "da 'ocky sweat'r" Roch Carier, and the Habs

What makes me angry is inconsistency, here, there, anywhere. I've also been calling it hypocrisy but I this @winnipegfreepress.com column has changed my thinking. When it's intentional, it's malevolent 🔥
I still believe Twitter was, now Bluesky is, a place for the singletons at each institution to connect. I’m the only person studying active learning classrooms at my college yet I have Bluesky folks - also on their own - to learn with and from.

@bonni208.bsky.social In her 2024 book, Hope Circuits, @drjessicariddell.bsky.social says higher education is a "wonder engine". Made me think of you, Bonni! btw, Jessica would be great @tihe.bsky.social guest!
The part the had the greatest impact on me is Roman’s open and unabashed “That make me cry 🥲”. I’m gonna use that - that line and that honesty 😊
