Europe should start a major AI initiative, creating a frontier model, doing lots of AI alignment research, and pushing for a worldwide enforceable pause on AI until it can be properly aligned.

You absolutely should not dismiss the AT Protocol technology that runs this place as boring nerd stuff, because that is the exact technology we are going to need to ensure that usable social media that isn’t controlled by Nazis continues to exist.

Independence must come before anything else. The rest is for later. The #AngloState wants us to argue and fight amongst ourselves, but we must keep our focus on what's most important. Without Indy, we have nothing of ourselves. We will only be WM's afterthought.
