Currently grumpy that the RCL and even the 1979 BCP lectionary include Matt 1:25 in Advent IV Gospel (noting that original Roman lectionary does not). Prior to 3 yr lectionaries, Advent IV was John the Baptist.

I'd be disturbed if recent statements from the administration about Somali and Afghan people led to our making generalizations about the behavior of people from particular ethnic backgrounds. In fact, not every second-generation German migrant is a kleptocrat or a fascist.
