In a random moment of kindness today an older woman backed into my car at a traffic light (both our cars were fine) and at the end of the interaction said "thank goodness it was you!" And gave me a hug... 😭 thank you random old lady for backing into my car today, you made my day

The biology teacher thing also. Was crazy. He was super religious and believed a lot of conspiracy theories and creationism and such and would discuss these in class. I and a classmate recorded the autism vaccine discussion and showed it to higher ups. Pretty sure he got away scott free

We also had a teacher get fired from my middle school for hanging up a kid's artwork that had a pride flag in it... it was bad

The anti socialism teacher also believed we shouldn't force companies to have nutrition labels on food "because it cost them too much money" BTW. Insane take. He was a middle school algebra teacher lol

I knew which of my teachers were transphobic... argued with another teacher on abortion rights. One teacher would hand out red pens when we graded homework, then used some of the pens disappearing as a reason socialism would not work. I had to tell my biology teacher vaccines did not cause autism !!

One teacher told us “apartheid was good for S Africa;” another lectured that FDR “ruined the country” by making Americans “lazy;” yet another wld force us to watch Alan Greenspan lectures and preface them by saying “now that’s a smart Jew” (the teacher ofc was not Jewish)
When you were a kid in school did you have the slightest clue of your teachers' political views? I did not.
