A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

The writer in this case clearly thinks “out of whole cloth”means “out of nothing”, which is debatable on its face, but “out of whole cloth” actually means: ALL of it is a LIE

Please nobody tell professional writer praising professional journalists Caitlin Flanagan what "out of whole cloth" means

Not now but soon enough, there will be major stories about The Free Press being the creation of three female founders who constructed a hugely successful digital business out of whole cloth.

“I’m a cop. I am not supposed to feel dread. He’s a brown person. HE’S supposed to feel dread!”

Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?
A tweet from Bari Weiss that says “"It's shaken me to my core," a lieutenant said of Mamdani's unexpected victory in June. "The absolute dread I feel is palpable.

Thanksgiving in Canada has nothing to do with Columbus!

We are a colonial country with a million things to atone for but Thanksgiving is not one of them.

Our Thanksgiving is timed with the harvest and it's literally just "Be grateful for harvest"

US Imperialism has brain rotted too many of you.

Salvation Army seen feeding ICE today. For anyone who doesn't already know about their bigotry, here is more, No need to give them your money this Christmas, or ever.

It’s dinner time for the police. Appears to be pizza from a Salvation Army van.

Broadview’s “free speech” curfew starts soon, at 6pm.

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

Writing something about ICE and sweet Jesus it is so incredibly dark what they are doing to these cities. We have all seen the videos, but when you wade into the details of their actions, it is extraordinarily bleak.

I know they're just a health article compiler but I read this article before and before we get rid of the inhalers maybe let's do something about the reasons more folks need inhalers in the first place?

(The article eventually *kinda* gets there but even then, that shitacular headline. Jeezus.)

They'll know who you are based on the picture alone. Granted that level of facial recognition has historically worked best on white folk but it really is insidious any way you look at it simply because all the answers to the question end in "yes".

Their complaints that Dems oppose the “rural hospital fund” are so hilarious.

Kind of like: “I’m going to burn down your house and give you a chocolate chip cookie instead.”

“That sounds terrible.”

“What you don’t like chocolate chip cookies!?”

Yep. It's the age-old problem: people excuse conduct from themselves, their friends, and people with whom they're ideologically aligned that they will start a riot over when it comes from their enemies and people they're ideologically unaligned with, for any value of any of those words

"don't worry, we'll vote them out in November"

the voting in November:

I've been wondering why Dominion Voting Systems suddenly reached settlements with Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and One America News.

Turns out, it's been purchased by a Republican-owned election tech firm that insisted on it, per Axios.

I talked a little bit what I think is going on and I don't think it's a coincidence that Tangerine Caligula was promising "$2 a gallon"...soon.

I no longer believe these leaders are supposedly "playing him like a fiddle". I think everyone is just trying to jockey themselves into position.
