I’ve seen the fascinating take of “conker is a repper” and I kiiiiinda see it? But mostly insofar as he (she?) is definitely feeling *stuck* in life, no genre sticks; and like, that’s a universal story theme, not sure it ‘fully’ aligns with trans experience but… …sure! why not.
Conker’s bad fur day works in no small part due to
(a) the main voice actor imbuing a certain dumb guy earnestness in the character that is SUCH a specific vibe it’s not quite slacker it’s just a nihilism that accidentally sometimes has insight
(b) the game’s audio being terrible (complimentary)

By the Buu arc Krillin is really a nothing character. Which is a shame. In the Saiyan arc he was actually super charming
It’s a testament to the power of good side characters that krillin is remembered in the collective consciousness as being one of the “iconic” characters

As someone who spent the last 15 years working with aging brains & dementia, I can't stop thinking about this. It is gerontocracy: leaders who are substantially older than most of the adult population. When did we accept this? The new generations can't show up because the old generations never left.
