This guy calculates that the real 'poverty line' for Americans is a household income of $136,500. I think it is plausible. There is an interesting discussion of housing in this article, which compares the national average to the cost of housing in Caldwell, NJ. www.yesigiveafig.com/p/part-1-my-...

Just got a response: "No responsive records, your request has been closed". I think the town spent $200K on this study.
I just put in an OPRA request for the 'Princeton Community Transit Plan' supposedly completed by consultants Nelson/Nygaard earlier this year. AFAIK, it has never been published anywhere. patch.com/new-jersey/p...

Disgraceful that Piscataway Council is even advancing these anti-homelessness measures, which are clearly intended to allow local cops to hustle vulnerable people across the bridge into New Brunswick so they don't bother suburbanites.

Princeton Council meeting tomorrow night. Looks like the headline item will be an ordinance to ban non-resident AirBNB rentals. Anyone who is renting a home on AirBNB but doesn't live on the property will face a 3 year timeframe to stop. princetonnj.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=...

Same here.
As an American citizen, I’d like to go on record. I didn't vote for this chaos, I don't support this bullshit, and I have never supported our unnecessary military interventions.

This is not the will of the American people, it's the will of the powerful acting in our name.
Turkish Airlines, Brazil's Gol, Colombia's Avianca and TAP Air Portugal have canceled their flights departing from Caracas. This follows the FAA issuing a security NOTAM cautioning aircraft operators about potential dangers in Venezuelan airspace that looks like this today:

New Jersey statehouse Democrats' key policy of "funneling tax breaks to rich retired boomers" through 'StayNJ', 'Senior Freeze' etc seems to have worked quite well in the gubernatorial election. I would normally expect old people to be more Republican, but it wasn't true in this election.

What a weird week it has been. Anyway, Build Housing, yes.
Trump and Mamdani just concluded their private meeting at the White House. Trump tells reporters he congratulated Mamdani on his "incredible" election victory.

He says they spoke about "getting housing built" in NYC, among other issues.
