I think SEPTA is about to cancel the Girard Ave Trolley, after spending 5 years refurbishing the 100-year-old PCC cars that are used on it.

I think they probably would entertain such ideas, and in fact A-4/S-50, which they helped write, included incentives for smart growth. More drastic change may be desirable, but there is so much bad faith on the NIMBY side.

I'm not sure what to make of Mikie Sherrill accusing Jack C of causing "tens of thousands of opioid deaths". It's pretty clearly untrue, but it has broken through and it seems that voters don't really care much about truth in 2025, so, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯? www.nj.com/politics/202...

Probably "North Brunswick Town Center". It was supposed to have a new rail station on the northeast corridor, but the station has never been built, and it is questionable if it ever will be built, so the development is 100% car-dependent. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_B...

California used to be screwed too though. It's only because of YIMBY organizing that stuff like this is happening there. California YIMBY lobby is incredibly organized and increasingly successful.

Hope we can get something similar in New Jersey. Our 'transit village' program has been a miserable failure, and many important transit hubs are surrounded with oceans of surface parking.
