The past decade I've seen more and more fellow left-types fantasise about leaving the US.
As someone who did that 16 years ago, I'll tell you: for the most part, I don't regret it. But... It's hard. It's expensive. You will have to rebuild everything. Friendships, community, all while acclimating.

When I was in college, a “friend” I had known for years cornered me in my kitchen and told me I’d been “made” for him, and why wouldn’t I just date him? I realized in that sick, horrifying moment that *my* desires and what I was attracted to were either not considered or dismissed as unimportant.

I’ve been noticing some NSFW audio creators, both writers and VAs, actively using AI-generated images to promote their work. I mostly see it on Instagram where AI tends to be more accepted, and based on the images I don’t think it’s an accident.
