This is a good way to instantly regret telling me I was being too quiet

introverts aren't supposed to share this little secret, but the best way to get us to open up is to aggressively point out how quiet we're being in public

What’s up with those legs tho

Yessss 😂 Haven’t heard, thanks!

I enjoyed Zork too. Eventually 😂

Oh it’s definitely tongue-in-cheek. The only part of me that insists I’m old as dirt is my back (on occasion).

I don’t really do “meant to be”s tbh, but it was nice that they were still there. I definitely am not afraid to use them!

Halloween is near! It's time to post this marvellous articulated Roman skeleton, presumably meant to be a reminder to enjoy life to the fullest, since pleasure ends irrevocably with death.
In Petronius’ Satyricon, the host of a dinner party brings out a small skeleton with moveable...🧵1/2

It won’t confuse them for long, but it definitely changes the way things look. A colourful parade of animal costumes is not threatening to look at on the news. Makes it hard to sell a narrative.

Might be my last year taking the kiddo around for candy, unless her and her friends all decided to go by themselves, together.

I’d hesitate to call it a profession, but:

“Nothing but Christmas Trees”
probablygeeky.bsky.social
And we’re a bit more low-key about it in Canada. We see family, cook a Turkey etc but I think Christmas is the bigger holiday

Thanksgiving in Canada has nothing to do with Columbus!

We are a colonial country with a million things to atone for but Thanksgiving is not one of them.

Our Thanksgiving is timed with the harvest and it's literally just "Be grateful for harvest"

US Imperialism has brain rotted too many of you.

It's Happy Thanksgiving here in Canada! Here's a collection of photos of Wild Turkeys taken in my backyard. #Thanksgiving #Ancaster #HamOnt #turkey
An extreme closeup of a turkey from the neck up, with his head tilted back a bit, looking at me A large wild turkey strutting into my backyard A family of turkeys, including two adults displaying their tails, along with a bunch of poults A large male turkey displaying, while a hen looks on with what appears to be disinterest

I’ve never dropped an entire jug of milk before. The contrast between it and the floor was interesting. 😂

Exactly my reasoning. In addition to incorrect quotes, they’re not even very good copies of Tenniel-style art, but I was still drawn in by them and finally when they hit 50% off I was like “If they’re still there when I come back next, I’ll get them.” They make very good breakfast plates.

Absolutely love this twitter classic:
Exchange between two twitter users. A man called Scott Castaneda write to Tom Morella, "I use to be a fan until your political opinions come out. Music is my sanctuary and the last thing I want to hear is political bs when I'm listening to music. As far as I'm concerned you and pink are completely done. Keep running your mouth and ruining your fan base." User Howard Finklestein replies, "What 'machine' did you think he was raining against? The dishwasher?"
