And I guess what else jumped out at me tonight was just how... small everyone and everything sounded. Total voice in the wilderness/vacuum kind of thing. And it was all temporary - SW signals tend to degrade fairly quickly - which all reminded me how small and short-timed we all are.

I used to do this on a tiny AM radio I had when I was a kid and it always geeked me out how I could hear so many cool things from so many places. And it was all random - no playlists or scheduled things. And a station that was there one night may be gone the next.
