I’m so angry & heart broken. My NSF CAREER grant was stolen today; dream project supporting science teachers/students as climate justice action researchers, tackling urban heat. Truly transformative, the culmination of my life’s work, we won’t stop, not in this climate crisis. Gonna fight like hell!

It’s chilling AF as a gay mom of young kids that in this situation (my wife and I post school drop off), I would’ve done exactly what Good did, used my white U.S citizen privilege to nonviolently protect my immigrant neighbors from ICE. Layers of hate crime and lies. Truth matters! Fight like hell 💪🏼
they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

My anger at having to stand outside my kid’s school for two hours to ensure none of their classmates, parents, or teachers get kidnapped by my own government is only slightly tempered by the amazing outpouring of support from other parents and especially neighbors who stand against this bullshit.

This was my exact thought when I saw the horrifying footage. They hauled her like this for half a block BEFORE attempting CPR, only doing so after they set her down around a corner, as if to hide from the scene. Straight up mob. I can’t imagine her partner. Fight like hell. Justice for Renee
