This beautiful book got no press but I’m a huge fan of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her first book in many years is absolutely stunning! I got to hear her speak and what a brilliant, humorous, thoughtful human 💪🏼🫶🏼

I took my boys to look for marine critters in the king tide lows (-2 ft!) tonight. We explored until dark and looked up to see this string of lights in the night sky. I guessed aliens - to which they shouted ALIENS AREN’T REAL MOM, lol. Turns out it’s Elon’s Starlink. So basically I’m right! 👽🛸

It’s Pies of #Gratitude season! I started this practice of making pies for my OB and other care providers after having twins (who’ll be 8 tomorrow!). I really dislike pumpkin pie, lol, but LOVE making them for special people in my life + creating free-hand crust art! Favs from years past #GiveThanks

Agree, even my small city of Santa Cruz had 15,000+ people out in the streets, angler fish and all!! Even the street signs were on point, and prophetic it seems!!!

And then at the end of the demolition, the decision from SCOTUS will finally come back that none of it was legal but oh well. Such a literal analogy for our times/democracy! Also, petty I realize, but this is the ugly plan??

I hear that, completely. And, I protested, have tons of pictures of real life protesters, including this epic angler fish. I don’t feel remotely devalued by this. AI is often used to distort the truth and yet this isn’t an example. What if it was clearly labeled as AI generated (I realize it’s not)?
