Jeanne Demessieux was the first woman organist ever offered a record contract. A virtuoso, she'd go on to record many works including her own. Like her contemporaries, she was fascinated Gregorian chant and adapting it to modern idioms, as she does here with Rorate Caeli (Drop Down, Heavenly Dew.)

I found my passion for music by accident! I wanted to get out of a class I disliked, and switching into band was my only option. I immediately fell in love with it, and later my band director kindly stayed after school to listen to my early composition attempts. Now I'm a band director like her! 🎶

Preparing for my first organ recital in… 8 years.
Definitely getting nerves, but I’m mostly excited. I’m so glad I’ve been able to resurrect this part of myself after not having been able to play for so long ^_^
