Something we don’t talk about enough is how the Age of Trump will impact the next generation of politics. To older politicians, the last 10 years represents an aberration from normal, and they can maintain that fiction because it represents 1/5 of their political lifespan. Not so for the youth.

My experience with people like him: many know their actions are “wrong” but genuinely believe their small attack on the system will be easily absorbed with limited negative consequences, and if they don’t profit by the wrong action someone else will. It’s just the tragedy of the commons redux.
