This is the main problem with Diaz on a number of levels; he just has this simplified view of the world:

Not everyone agrees with Animat on some things (I was not on board with what he said about Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, but he has since buried the hatchet with Sony Pictures Animation), but that is just nasty to say, especially as Animat is an educated fan of animation, including Disney.
