Yes, new rules but they sent me an invite (diagnosed out of the blue with a lung disease 2 years ago) and my husband older than me, has heart disease and asthma aged 73 wasn’t eligible but after they reviewed his history he got it too. Worth checking with GP.

This week I am mostly checking the BBC weather app for Venice. A straight 5 days before we arrive it’s a pleasant 21-20, last week it was a high of 18, this morning we had 15 with drizzle and rain. Will check again tomorrow lol 😜

That’s got to be more cost effective for them surely, unless mum needs night care? Remember, it’s got to be in your mum’s ‘best interests and if she has capacity her say will count. Best of luck 🤞 x

Are the care managers supportive and offering what your mum needs, ‘in her best interests,’ is the phrase they use? We had this with my dad. We fought for my dad and got him placed in Bexley. It’s just the most stressful time but once he was placed we all made the best of it and he kept well. x

Sounds good Kat. I’ve got mine tomorrow, my husband felt a bit poorly after the flu and covid double jab on Monday, he normally just gets an achy arm with the flu jab. Do you normally feel unwell afterwards?

My sister lives in the same village and she’s very well thought of there, not at all showbizzy. She saw her recently at the eye hospital and they chatted but she looked very frail. No one had a bad word, a good legacy.
