I don’t really do cons much anymore. Over the years my BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) has gotten so debilitating that it’s been hard to really put myself out there, but everyone was very kind. Maybe next year I will do an unhinged panel discussion on loose cranks.

I had a fantastic time at @adventurex.bsky.social this year - met up with people I’ve known forever, talked heavily about adventure games, met Guybrush Threepwood, sold some merch - easily the best con I’ve been to. To next year. :)

So, the eyes were the main issues. They look good, but rodents have more side set eyes, so I could change the position, do the antlers a little different, shape the head more, etc. I learned a LOT doing it.

My sculpting instructor gets me. I struggle with failure and not being good at stuff right away, even if it’s “better than average” or if I am picking up stuff quickly. I kept bashing my Jackalope sculpture, wishing it were better, and my teacher asked, “Well how many have you made?” And I said -
