I have long felt confident in knowing that the code running rubygems.org would outlive me, and that so many have stepped forward to contribute to it. I'd like to see it last another 16 years, and hopefully for many multiples of that.

I asked for legal help + policies way back in 2014. I was barely treading water then. We have come full circle as a community. groups.google.com/g/rubygems-o...

Not happy re: the rubygems.org news this week. 2 thoughts:

1. I am begging all sides of this issue: Please get on a call and talk this out. Rebuild the trust, starting now.
2. Ruby is too small and shrinking in the AI era to afford any splintering of efforts.
