Fun fact, all local variable reads show up in the ast distinct from method calls. So you could check for that and usage of binding and be pretty sure that the variable is killed at the puts call

The events of the past week have still been really hard for me to process.

The only way I can describe it is a nasty breakup of a decade-long relationship.

I know people in the community are (rightfully) upset. I just ask that you remember individuals were directly hurt too.

At the time, I was one of two or three “full time” employees at ruby central.

I found out we had a new ED from a weekly status update in a slack channel. She met with me twice (once during her onboarding, and once after I very loudly complained about inviting DHH to railsconf).
