New paper dance! Lara Janiurek's first PhD paper!
Updated to v2 and submitted to journal. Lays out the method for obtaining the continuum differential equation corresponding to the discrete quantum walk with decoherence, for applications to quantum algorithms.

This article suggests the possibility of training AI on pre-existing proposals and their review reports, scores and related decisions. I.e. training them on a system which is known to preferentially award larger amounts of money to white men. What could possibly go wrong?

imagine, right, you're applying for a UK visa. our wages suck, bills are high, layoffs are ten a penny, & you find out you're down up to £20k minimum right from the off, alongside thousands and thousands in visa fees. who would find that remotely appealing? this is how you collapse entire industries
a family of four on a five year visa route needs to pay close to twenty grand in surcharges, in addition to visa fees, upfront at time of application. the new Labour ILR rules means that family will pay close to *forty grand* in health surcharges, on top of visa fees. just incredibly stupid stuff

Check your Google Scholar profiles. I found an article added to mine that had completely fabricated the authors and abstract, including an author who was born after the publication date ... I think AI filled in the blanks because the first page of the scan is missing online.
