I couldn’t care less if Jesus was Jewish. The only reasons to mention it are for supersessionism or ahistorical Zionism cause he wasn’t Palestinian or Israeli either

An attack on the intent of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment would be a really good time to hire some historians to write things for you (those historians include me)

Really happy it’s the season where I have to spend tons of money and also no one is focusing on hiring or accepting pitches.
December 7, 2025 at 9:20 PM
A lot of legal voices I respect are making deeply ahistorical arguments about the intent of the 14th Amendment. Wanting to end slave power & clarify citizenship does not extend to some perfect anti racist intent or eye towards ending other inequalities

Is it time for my yearly fight in which Christian acculturated atheists try to tell me Christmas is a secular holiday

In a surprising twist, the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision to let Texas use its mid-decade gerrymander for the 2026 midterm elections may end up strengthening California’s defense of its voter-approved map. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Does anyone know what the 6-2 vote breakdown was for SCOTUS taking up birthright citizenship in Barbara v Trump?

my measured conclusion upon review of the Supreme Court's order reimposing Texas's racially gerrymander is that the only thing the Republican justices hate more than district court judges is people of color voting

The Supreme Court Wants Republicans to Keep the House In 2026
A federal district court found that Texas Republicans’ redistricting proposal is an illegal racial gerrymander. The conservative justices couldn't care less.

Had to do a historical rant on the racism behind trying to end Birthright Citizenship and the terrifying decision to take up Barbara v. Trump by SCOTUS

We should all be terrified that SCOTUS is reviewing Trump’s EO trying to end Birthright Citizenship

It’s all been over since Shelby V Holder. Y’all didn’t want to listen when we screamed about voter suppression in 2016

I've said it before, I'll say it again--these sons of bitches on the Court piss me off w this 'presume the legislature acted in good faith and wasn't being racist' thing

why on Earth would I presume that?! what on Earth does it take to overcome that presumption?!

I can’t believe how difficult it is right now for so many of my friends to find long term work. Especially qualified women. We have advanced degrees, work experience, work ethic, & it’s just impossible. I seriously feel like we’re being pushed out of the workforce

Elad is exactly right. Don’t be fooled. Another very important reason not to ignore antisemitism in pro Palestinian spaces
Nick Fuentes has been working overtime to sanitize his image and present himself as a uniter of the left and right. Very clearly using language often associated with the left.

This is part of a larger effort by the anti-Zionist antisemitic far right to recruit people on the left.

I agree with this but I also think we’re seeing a lot of transphobia as the gateway for enforcing more Christian nationalism generally
You can publicly be the most cruel and vile person imaginable saying the most heinous stuff and it's all acceptable if the target is trans or an ally. It's a pass for horrible people to do whatever they want.
I thought I could not be shocked by what prominent transphobes feel able to say about me. Turns out I was wrong.

Here is Richard Dunstan, a prominent commentator closely associated with the Sex Matters charity, speculating that I enjoyed being sexually assaulted as a child.

It’s so counter productive & ridiculous I would honestly believe it if someone told me that Stop Antisemites account was a psyop. Unfortunately I think it’s just so Zionist brained it doesn’t care if it aids antisemitism as long as it’s attacking anti Zionism

The Supreme Court is hearing oral argument tomorrow to decide whether a crisis pregnancy center's lawsuit belongs in state court or federal court

so naturally Republican Attorneys General spent their whole brief talking shit about Planned Parenthood

I missed that Florida is proposing a new bill that would allow people to bring wrongful death suits for pregnancy loss. Not only is this another step towards personhood but I'll be anything it will mostly be used by men suing women who have had miscarriages/abortions

In my comm college dept an Ed prof was bragging abt teaching kids abt Jewish holidays. I said they’re often taught incorrectly & wed prefer secularism. She badgered me until I cried in the bathroom. The dept had me apologize. Zionism matters not Jewish feelings

There is a conversation to be had about “Jewish supremacy” in Israel but saying that about the US or Europe or anywhere else is just protocols of Zion bullshit. Jews do not control the US & support for Israel does not equal support for Jews
