Wispers can be put into any world! So there are bound to be other species they end up interacting with and talking to. Wisper communication is one on one telepathy, conveying concepts into the other's mind that can be interpreted. There is no hive-mind accumulative knowledge, each wisper starts anew

I think I can answer all of these together🤔
A wispie can only alter the body of their chosen host so much, so they usually choose one that's already close to what they want. Insects happen to have good bodies for that. There are arachnid, mollusk and crustacean wispies but they're less common \o/

It asks, "can a wispie fuse with something other than an arthropod (ex: mollusc, a fungi, or those yellow blob-thing-that-are-somewhat-intelligent), and if not, what makes arthropods able to fuse with wispies, and are there other species of wispie-like creature that can fuse with other things?" Another strawpage question asks, "are there aquatic wispers, like crabs, shrimps or even giant isopods, pistol shrimps or fish parasites?" Another strawpage question asks, "When a wisper fuses, what are the limits of the transformation, how much can the wispie alter their host?"

The way I see it, there aren't a fixed amount of wispies because when they die, they just become energy \o/ like light becoming heat or whatever. One day, some energy just happens to magically form another wispie, which will find a bug body to become a wisper✨

Has anyone else noticed that wild jumping spiders readily accept help when they're wanting to cross a big distance? I've lost count of the amount of times I've offered my hand to a spood staring at a distant destination, and it happily jumping on my hand and choosing where to be set down🥹
