Hi #BookSky! 💙📚 I'm Marie, a Filipino #SFF and horror author/reader living in the 🇬🇧. I write myth/folklore based tales, mostly flash fiction and short stories, and I also co-wrote The Prophecies of Ragnarok, a Norse myth urban fantasy trilogy. mariesinadjan.com
Congratulations @lynnstrong.bsky.social! There's no Persian or Egyptian in our series but there's Filipino, a little Polynesian, and hints of Mesopotamian (yes, the series is primarily Norse myth 🙊)

It’s getting closer to holiday sales and shopping. Instead of spending money at a big box store or putting money in a billionaires pocket… shop small!!

If you have a small business or are a small time creator (that means artists and indie authors too!) share your links/work below.

I'm finally planning to start a podcast on monster stuff (prob. called "Dr. Monster" because why not have fun).

I'm still sort of working out what that would look like/what people might be interested in terms of topics.

If you have any thoughts or requests, I'd love to hear them!

As we start Trans Awareness Week, we can no doubt expect to see an increase in anti-trans hit-pieces from the Torygraph and every other outlet and individual that wants to "balance" the value of trans lives with their desire for our eradication from society.

Stay strong 🫶🏻✊🏻🏳️‍⚧️⚧️
Or, translated:

“We didn’t punch down on or vilify trans people sufficiently for the Telegraph’s liking.”

How many years away are we from having a “both sides” factor when discussing gay people, I wonder?

I will say that Amazon and Goodreads are just showing us what the marginalized people in the book community have been saying about Goodreads for years. And now, Goodreads is just saying the quiet part out loud. I am not even surprised.

@northodoxpress.bsky.social Hi! I was going to DM but it won't let me send screenshots – I'm making a rec list and I just saw the blurb for Heretical is missing "fi" on Amazon UK. Haven't checked the other country sites though.

All the social media platforms are really punishing me for being away, my posts are hardly getting traction across the board 😂 I expected that but damn.
