So the whole leveraged buyout was predicated on "AI" lies.

... yeah EA's going to be sold off for parts in five years, tops.
Wait was EA’s big GenAI push a bid to convince potential buyers that it could lower operating costs after a purchase to help pay for debts??

They have like four whole game studios making the Battlefield series, you can’t run a CoD-competing juggernaut with automation.

I've used this one. It's simple and easy to understand.

Just set a restore point first.
Indeed. Unfortunately at this point they are selling these "features" to investors and not the actual users, hence why they are being forced down our throats regardless if they are an actual good idea or not (which, imo, is very much not)
I can feel that. I don't even live in the american continent, much less the USA specifically, and then I see news about US politicians that make it unambiguous that I know more of how some of the basic things are over there than the people whose job is (supposedly) to know this stuff

This!

I too have done the call centre jobs but I have *also* worked as part of the higher up team that would review the call centre job performances, documenting why they were doing great or poorly.

Call centres are costly to train and these employees aren't suddenly going to get fired.
Some people (who claim not to be company shills) would like us to stop calling payment processors to object to them stopping us from spending our money on things we want. They're hopping onto threads about how we're going to get innocent call center workers fired, how dare we?!

I got to talk to Ross on my Stream a while back about the Stop Killing Games initiative, and it's a shame the traction has stopped, so even if I'm a relatively tiny streamer, let's see if we can't give this another push?

If you're in an EU citizen, it'll take 2 mins:

Clearly the (accidental) color-coordinated outfits provided a powerful morale boost
A lot of stuff was improved upon over many patches, including the addition of sidequest content, but in the end the foundations were just broken so they made the incredibly ballsy move of nuking the game and relaunching it anew later. It's really fascinating how much went wrong with 1.0
Part of it was the SE at the time was very much about to go under so that they pushed out 1.0 as soon as they could, but part of it was also just not good design. If I remember right the original game director was against having a visible map in-game or just didn't see a point to allow jumping :P
Or how there were no indicator for the state of an item durability, or that to repair gear one had to farm a rare drop off of high level mobs. Which apparently lead to people just carrying spare equipment and throwing the broken one away because it was just easier than trying to repair it
As he put it, a lot of elements of the original 1.0 launch simply had no design. There were mechanics and systems, but none of them interacted together in a cohesive way. Like certain piece of low-level gear having better stats than higher level gear.
Someone I watch online had a big "review stream" of XIV a few years back, and he started by talking in detail for an hour and a half as to all the issues 1.0 had at launch as someone that played it back then. It really sold to me what an uphill battle redeeming FFXIV was for YoshiP and SquareEnix
Crafting was "interesting", in that certain low level items required materials from all over including much higher level monster drops. And also you had to complete the crafting on a timer. Which with the constant input delay and lag, you might time out because the server said so
For more cursed 1.0 knowledge, have you ever tried the minigames in the second floor of the Gold Saucer where the Vermillion and Chocobo Races are? Those mining and woodcutting minigames are how it worked in 1.0, where you hat to guess angle and power of a hit to hopefully get the mats you wanted

It's been debunked, valve confirmed they don't even use the company that is said to be hacked (a SMS 2FA company) and the source of it all is an AI company's LinkedIn post that itself looks AI made itself

I mean, $5000 for 89 MILLION steam accounts? Come on.

Just have Steam Guard and you're good.
Guard Up, knowing that if all else fails I can just block gives me a little more confidence fighting things
Hurray, I keep getting older
Puffins! Looks like you have indeed signal there ^^

You can of course gut all of the elements that Microsoft inserts into Windows 11 that they're legally forbidden to use in other countries, by the way.

Follow the link, read the instructions, run the script, enjoy a low-shit experience.
