I read a lot. This world is horrible, by reading fiction I get to be in another world for a while. Let yourself be a part of the story. If you can do that, it's better than any movie. Even when the book is not written according to all requirements.
I've started to read fiction again, after a hiatus of several years. It hasn't taken me long to conclude that at my age, life is just too short for badly-written, ineptly edited police procedurals. In my earlier days, I rarely gave up on a book I'd started, but I've abandoned 3 in the last 2 days!
