One of my favourite units to work with was the Army Air Corps (Lynx crews). Those guys were as cool as ice under fire. Nothing against RAF chopper pilots. But AAC attended patrol orders. You bond during that. + the Lynx gave all round view. Whereas it’s difficult to see out of an RAF Puma/Wessex.

Author records testimonies of Soviet citizens for whom an important aspect of the end of the USSR involved the “right” to state that WW2 started in 1939 not 1941. The western aid (matériel & intelligence) given to the #USSR during #WW2 bordered on being decisive. #history
