That is not an arrest. It is an assault and kidnapping. We need local govt's to start recognizing it as such and criminalize unlawful "arrests" at state level. This is absolutely vital for maintaining any semblance of order now, as the next stage is mass riots, and following that open revolts.

if you know a trans person, i’d suggest checking in with them. a lot of us are struggling to get by at the moment, and any support is appreciated. we aren’t alone, but it can feel that way sometimes. 💔

Passports weren’t even invented until 1920. Until about a hundred years ago, you could mostly just move wherever you wanted. All those people whose families have been in the US for generations? Their ancestors didn’t have to go through any formal immigration process.
