People get trained, perhaps unconsciously, to post engagement slop that the site algorithm likes. But Bluesky traffic isn't driven by a singular algorithm to the same degree and depends more on if live humans actually like you and share your stuff.

I kinda hang here and have 2x my Twitter follows 🤷🏽‍♂️

as a black comedy, someone should write a version of WWI leadup that has social media. Don't bother about incongruity of fitting 21st century social media tech into early 1900s. Just imagine what it would have been like

Malcolm Nance is very good at fooling left/liberal lay people but he's a, like, *profoundly* sketchy hashtag resistance grifter.
In case any of y'all forgot Malcom Nance is all of the below:

A. Not a serious person
B. Stolen valor adajecent
C. Has never been right about anything ever
D. Is a war tourist who grifts off everything legitimate around him

All kidding aside, I spent my early-mid 20s deployed on international operations with the UN and NATO (pre-9/11) that were actually good and successful and I fucking hate all this shit and the cocksuckers behind it so goddamn much I can't even.

"Never explain the joke"

"So what's colloquially known as 'the switcheroo' is when you start a post by seeming to say one thing, only to swerve (N.B. this is a metaphor for a sudden change, you don't have to literally physically make a sharp turn) and contradict what you had set up in order to..."

Cigna health insurance is the worst thing in the world, I've felt less relief getting away with crossing a disputed international border than I have from bailing on them for Mrs Not Appearing on Social Media's health plan.

Had to block someone who angrily replied to this thinking I was complaining about people complaining about America, instead of complaining about Americans complaining about other people complaining about America, and explaining that was harder than just reading my fucking original post lol
Like our government is fundamentally wrong and evil, getting your patriotic hackles up over someone from somewhere else mad about it online just ain't it.

Listen, sneering anti-Americanism from online rubes from the husks of empires who think they deserve personal cultural credit for Mozart or w/e while drinking Coke and eating their national equivalent of dinosaur chicken nuggets IS annoying.

But we're absolutely, 100% asking for it, so just cope

It's a 3 way dance between "making content that gets attention" "owing the libs*" and "dementia melting king piss baby's neurons."

*Everyone to the left of Albert Speer is a "lib" now.

I haven't seen it, but an Academy without cringe is less realistic than the Q Comtinuum.
