Suggested EU response:

- US airbases now represent an armed presence, inside our borders, of a nation that is openly threatening to invade our territory
- Withdraw the threat or we have no choice but to close those bases
- This turns USA from a global power to a regional one, overnight

Watch how the Russian trolls now find out ways to set up new “USA“ (UK/French/ Irish etc etc) accounts from place appropriate locations
X has changed their policy and now you can see where the accounts are based.

Ps. Paths are well lit after dark too btw.

"In narrow economic terms, the claim that the US has emerged the winner from both sets of negotiations is simply false. Tariffs are taxes. Before long, American consumers will pay most if not all of the increase in costs."

The US Will Be the Biggest Loser From Trade ‘Wins’
In due course, new duties will slow down innovation and depress US living standards. And that’s if the tariff wars stop now.

I don't understand why the administration keeps saying that other countries pay our tariffs. This is simply not true even in the most optimistic scenario (e.g., a US importer negotiates something with their foreign partner). If the policy is good, why lie about it?

The EU will pay 15% tariffs on all goods sold to the U.S.
What they should say is the people in the U.S. buying goods from the EU will be charged 15% more because of a tax added on by Trump.

Agreed. 80 years of US economic & security alliances has been turned into a mafia protection racket. But the mafia boss doesn't even promise to protect you.
It's short term asset stripping of US hard/soft power for immediate gain with no thought about how unsustainable this is over the longer term.

It makes cosying up really close to the EU an even bigger priority. The US is unlikely to be an honest broker under Trump, and perhaps not for decades to come depending on how much wrecking his team manage.
