will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other

Imagine watching Sinatra, son of Dolly & Antonini born in Genoa & Sicily, respectively, and Martin, son of Gaetano & Angela, born in Montesilvano, Italy & Ohio respectively, (Angela to parents born in Monasterolo, Italy), and crusading against the value of children of immigrants to the U.S.

-More-interesting-than-usual story on Trump's extortion demands on Harvard. (Remember when this was all about the MAGA/Fuentes team's heartfelt concern about antisemitism?)

-Headline badly mismatches contents of the story. As the reporting makes clear, the "escalation" is all on MAGA side.

GOP operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, convicted election fraudsters, were paid $960,000 in the second quarter to secure a pardon for a former nursing-home operator who defrauded the government of $38 million. Trump pardoned the man, Joseph Schwartz, last month.

“Eminence Front” turns 43 today. 🎸

“I hesitate to try to explain what it was about,” Townshend told @rollingstone.com. “It’s clearly about the absurdity of drug-fueled grandiosity — but whether I was pointing the finger at myself or at the cocaine dealers of Miami Beach is hard to recall.”

Curious. If someone with millions of followers tweeted “enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas” at people in the Trump administration, what do we think the FBI would do?
Trump says the people who “thought Epstein was the greatest guy on earth, only to drop him like a dog when things got too HOT” are “sleazebags.”

Trump is criticizing people who…stopped hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein?

Anyone can read the redactions of the Epstein Files by just copying and pasting them into a word doc. The people at Trump's Justice Department are so stupid they used Adobe Acrobat to black out the documents.

I am telling you that a large part of their dysfunction is that several Trump officials imagine themselves, constantly, as being in a social media sizzle reel where they display status and dominance over others. Their online personas are driving their actual behavior.
Kash Patel made the FBI buy a custom fleet of armored BMW X5 for him to ride around in. trib.al/9pBbwTB

Patel’s FBI spokesperson claimed—without evidence—that this is actually saving the American taxpayer money. The standard version of the X5 costs about $70,000.
