Not my garden, but my mom keeps her tropical plants on her heated porch during the winter and her hibiscusbloomed this past week! #garden #gardening #tropicalplants #wintergarden #wintergardening 🌱

They always sneak up and scare me! But I do love them 💕
And, of course, I just got done mulching one whole side of my house due to it just being dirt in the summer! That's where I found them, in last year's mulch. 😭
I've heard about this before! I know the initial treatment is going to be expensive as well ($1200+), but it's worth it for the peace of mind!

Thank you, I'll need it!
I'm definitely having an exterminator come out this week and treat. Hopefully, I will be ahead of them!
TFW you are moving stuff around to place a new raised bed and you find termite larvae under a rock next to your house 😭🌱🌿 #garden #gardening #insects #bugs
That's prettier than I would have expected!
I grow herbs every year, and every year I say I'm going to dry them and then I don't 😅 How has your luck been with drying your own?
These are so pretty!! 💓
Silly little things. I had one fly into the pack of my head at full tilt earlier this week and knocked himself senseless for a minute! Love them so much 💓
Some more lovely mini snapdragons for you 💕 #garden #gardening #flowergarden 🌱🌿
That's amazing!! I live in the Midwest and we see fewer and fewer every year. My mom and I used to tag and release several hundred a year, these days we are lucky to get 20. It's so sad :( Glad to meet someone else who is trying to do something about it on such a scale!!
If you have the ability, you may want to get some bug cages and catch the monarch worms and have them go through their cycle inside. This helps protect them from parasites and, if you are interested, you can tag them before releasing them to help keep count of the monarch population!
Mini snapdragons are loving life in my cinder block wall. #garden #gardening #flowergarden 🌱🌿
As far as I can tell they are tough plants. I have very sandy soil (live on what used to be the bottom of the Mississippi), and I plant things that are drought tolerant as it gets into the mid 30s in summer. I have yet to have any do anything other than thrive.
I plant snapdragons every year! Love them!
I just scrolled through your feed and your photos are beautiful! Your eye for lighting is wonderful. Happy to have you in my timeline now. Do you shoot with a particular camera?
It's also right next to Badlands National Park and Wind Cave National Park. I didn't get to Wind Cave while I was there, but the Badlands were truly a unique place to experience! Totally recommend visiting the area since it has so much within a couple hour drive of each other! I hope to visit again.
It is! Mine is from a road trip I took to the Black Hills in South Dakota a couple of summers ago. Spent my time hiking and rock hounding while I was there.
Love it! I want one of these eventually. They are just such a fun pop of color!
