Well said. The Chinese DeepSeek did seem to have promise in keeping the computing and therefore the power required down but i haven’t heard anything about them in a while.

hondos, Major companies are investing hundreds of billions of dollars in A.I.
They may be overinvesting & we will have something bigger than the dot-com crash, but eventually the internet did change society.
We will soon have self-repairing systems

Well expert systems have a use today in hospitals, but they were the last great AI hype train and it ran out of investment gas too. In the end nobody wanted to hand the power of their company over to the guy who could fix the expert system. Or not fix it. AI is only as good as its data. So IMO….

You’re right about the unemployment though. High school was the minimum you needed to get a good job when i was a kid, now a second degree is the minimum to deliver for Amazon.

hondos, A.I. will follow the path of quantum computing with continuous error correction.
The algos can be rigged, as with social media. but it is much more complicated because of the enormous data collected by Large Language Models..

Eventually either all data will become too expensive & AI will always pay more & more for it, or rivals will trick you into buying & feeding your AI inaccurate data making it less valuable to your customers as error rates increase. It’s here to stay, but it’s mostly hype, but that’s just my opinion.

AI is just advanced statistics. The adjustable wrench didn’t make mechanics obsolete & AI won’t kill the working class. But a pure capitalist society that won’t adopt anything remotely socialistic, no matter how helpful; may suffer a lot from AI with high unemployment?

I believe that the Epstein files reveal the following:

Epstein was a MOSAD asset who created Kompromat material to use as leverage against powerful men.

That material including sex with young boys as well as girls.

He was also a major money laundering conduit.
