It was wonderful connecting with Montgomery County leaders recently. Convenings like this give me hands-on insight into the challenges our communities face, help surface local priorities, coordinate solutions, and ensure federal policies reflect the real-world needs of MD-6.

As a giant in the civil rights movement, Rev. Jesse Jackson carried the hopes of millions on his shoulders. He never waited for permission, but widened the table so others could lead. He gave voice to Black Americans and to communities told to wait their turn while injustice marched on.
