Today, we wore purple in honor of #PurpleThursday to raise awareness about Domestic Violence. 1 in 4 women in CT will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime.

At the legislature, we lift up the critical work done by DV advocates and we prioritize legislation that helps save lives.

Hope to see you tomorrow! Don’t forget to RSVP.
Can confirm. Democratic states not doing enough.
Every time someone says “they built new housing in my neighborhood and rent didn’t go down”, hit them over the head with this image
Here's a map of the housing shortage by state, in absolute terms.

Democrats just aren't building enough in their states. Especially CA.

Dear Governor Lamont,
WE NEED MORE HOMES IN CONNECTICUT.

Check out the site!

In 2 MINUTES you can email the governor and your legislators to push them to make the best possible bill.

They need to hear from us, not just the lunatic NIMBYs

Last week, I sat down with Dan Newmeyer of CT Politics TV. We started with a “getting to know you” segment followed by a discussion of the recent targeting of Rep. Corey Paris and my subsequent doxing for speaking out.

Thanks for having me!

If these programs disappear, our already skyrocketing grocery prices will only continue to rise as grocery stores seek to replace those sales.

These numbers have dramatically increased since 2020.

As I said today at the press conference, you don’t have to experience food insecurity to benefit from programs like SNAP and WIC. They account for 15-20% of grocery store purchases and help keep grocery prices in check. 4/
This money can only be spent on food and 15% of it will be used to buy produce from CT farmers who were hit hard by federal cuts.

We know there will be cuts to #SNAP and while we are unsure of their timing, people are hungry in Connecticut now; 1 in 7 adults and 1 in 6 kids. 3/
While my request as co-chair of the bipartisan Feeding Connecticut Caucus (alongside Senator Berthel) was $10 million, we are grateful to House and Senate leadership and Governor Ned Lamont for agreeing to $3 million in FY ‘26 and $6 million in FY ‘27. 2/
Proud to stand with my former colleagues at Connecticut Foodshare on the first day of #HungerActionMonth as we celebrated the legislative win of the CT-NAP (nutritional assistance program) bill.

For more than 20 years, the state provided CT-NAP with around $850,000. 1/
Labor Day is a time to celebrate the dedication, and resilience of workers everywhere.

You can thank the labor movement for having weekends off, employee, assistance programs, and worker protections, to name a few. If it weren’t for the labor movement, your work life would look very different.
On Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose and stand with the families and communities affected. Together, let’s break the stigma around addiction, spread awareness, and work toward solutions to save lives across Connecticut.💜
Every day is exhausting watching the U.S. being destroyed from within.
Chinese officials "were saying, it's very interesting to watch President Trump because we've had a long-term strategy to basically try to weaken and divide America's alliances....President Trump is just doing it for us."

Jake Sullivan joins @timmiller.bsky.social on the latest Bulwark Podcast:
Thankfully, they are both okay and the other fourteen children who were shot are expected to make a full recovery.

It doesn’t have to be this way. We have to have the will to change it. 2/2
We stand with State Representative Corey Paris.
Thank you to the Capitol Police, local law enforcement, and the many colleagues both In attendance and who sent support.

The full press conference is here: ct-n.com/ctnplayer.as... and my remarks start at 14 minutes or so. 4/4

As children, there were times in history class when we would ask our teachers, “Why did no one speak up? Where were the helpers? Didn’t people see what was happening was wrong?” Maybe you were that student. I know I was. The time to speak is now. We are all safer and stronger together. 3/
to broadcasting personal information (of individual agents). He also didn’t give their exact location. But the lies out there are putting Representative Paris, his family, and the people who spoke up for him today at risk (Including actual doxxing and threats of violence). 2/
Today, we stood with our friend and colleague State Representative Corey Paris and already, the same account that targeted him is targeting me and others for speaking up.

Representative Paris broke no laws. By the definition of doxxing, he didn’t doxx law enforcement as doxxing refers 1/
