One simple question: Has your life gotten better since Trump has taken office?

No matter the zip code they were born in, every scientific innovator was once a student who just needed access.

That’s why I worked to pass a $1 million investment in a youth STEM innovation and exploration program right here in Newark through the House. Let’s keep growing the brightest minds!🧠

I’m bringing dollars back to Orange Township to help keep our communities healthy. Clean water is essential to doing that. That’s why I was proud to pass through the House $1,092,000 in funding for the drinking water main relocation project.

Today, House Homeland Security Democrats demanded Secretary Noem be removed from an office she never deserved to hold.

Secretary Noem: You are terrible at your job. You are incompetent. You are shameless. But most of all you are cruel. The American people want none of it.

I’m a public school mom. I used to work in the public school system. I’ve seen how critical IDEA funding is for students with disabilities.

Your zip code shouldn’t decide what your child’s education looks like. That’s why I’m working to protect IDEA funding.

I’m saddened by the passing of civil rights pioneer, Claudette Colvin, but forever inspired by her legacy.

By sitting down on a Montgomery bus, she stood up for justice, helped spark the civil rights movement, and inspired millions to follow in her footsteps.
Claudette Colvin, unsung civil rights pioneer, dies at 86
Nine months before Rosa Parks made history, Ms. Colvin refused to give up her seat on a segregated city bus. She became a star witness in a civil rights case.

Today, we celebrate the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the U.S. I’m grateful for my Korean American neighbors who have enriched NJ-10. I’m proud to have joined @gomez.house.gov in a resolution recognizing the history, culture, and impact of Korean Americans.

I had to go to the House floor to congratulate the champions of the Newark Board of Education’s Holiday Basketball Tournament: Malcom X Shabazz’s Boys Basketball Team and Arts High School’s Girls Basketball Team. Proud of our NJ-10 schools!

Go Bulldogs! Go Jaguars!

Jean Wilson Brutus died in ICE custody after just one day at Delaney Hall.

The brutal conditions must end. That’s why, for a second time, I’m demanding an investigation into Delaney Hall and why I will keep calling for oversight of DHS—to protect our communities.

I’m bringing dollars back to NJ-10 to help bring our emergency response capabilities into the modern age.

This over $1 million upgrade will ensure that all people—including those with disabilities and limited English proficiency—can use the full scope of emergency services.

@mayorofchicago.bsky.social hit the nail on the head: what the Trump administration has done over the last year has caused terror and division in our communities.

But we know that when we band together, the people united will prevail.

I’m sending my love prayers to the family and friends of former NJ Governor Richard Codey, in light of his passing. Governor Codey was a fierce advocate for the vulnerable of NJ, dedicating his life to making our lives in the Garden State better. I thank him for his profound service to our state.
Rest in Peace, Governor Richard J. Codey - Insider NJ

The Trump administration is coming after me for standing up, holding them accountable, and doing my job. Forcing me to defend myself from baseless charges is a tool of intimidation, but it won’t work—we can’t let it. Not now, not ever.

Trump’s DHS is trying to strip TSA officers of workplace protections—a disaster for Newark Airport.

So I stood up to DHS and made sure we were represented.

In NJ-10, the frontline workers who keep travelers safe are our neighbors and friends. They must be protected on the job.

The American people want healthcare they can afford. And where there was a will, Democrats made a way. We forced this vote.

It passed the House and we’re one step closer to delivering. Now, it’s on Senate Republicans to show they care about their constituents.

15 years ago today, @gabbygiffords was shot at in a horrific act of violence. She courageously turned her pain into purpose, and she isn’t letting anything stop her from fighting for a safer future—a future free from gun violence.

I will continue to stand with her in this fight.

ICE shot and killed someone in Minneapolis today.

DHS is trying to spin this before we know anything. What we do know is that ICE has shot at civilians before, that they have brutalized our communities, and that this administration wants them to operate with impunity.

The Department of Homeland Security said it was a "vehicle ramming related" incident.

Americans can’t afford their groceries, bills, or healthcare.

And all Donald Trump can focus on is waging war for oil and snatching up Greenland. Why can’t he focus on what Americans need?
Trump renews push to annex Greenland after Venezuela strike
President Donald Trump has repeatedly talked about annexing Greenland. He reupped those calls hours after the U.S. captured Venezuela's leader.

No family should have to choose between heat and putting food on the table.

With my UPLIFT Act, I’m turning up the heat in Congress so that millions of families can turn their heat up this winter.

Where do we go from here? Over 50 years ago, MLK analyzed the state of the Black community. This year, I challenge you to do the same in my NJ-10 Black History Month Essay Contest! Open to high schoolers across the district!

5 years ago, Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection to overthrow the will of the people. He failed thanks to the bravery of Capitol Police on Jan 6.

Today, as he continues to threaten our democracy, we will keep standing strong for the country we love.

Legislative oversight of an ICE detention facility like Delaney Hall can’t be done from behind a desk.

I’m disappointed by today’s ruling, and remain very concerned about the Trump administration’s efforts to criminalize legislative oversight and operate in the shadows.
